hello

Hello

Hi, I'm Johanne. I joined quite a while ago, but after the meeting on Saturday, I have decided to try to be a bit more active. I'm in my first semester and so far it's a bit rough with three classes, but it's only a few more months to go, so I think I can make it through until then.

Hello

I wanted to post a quick hello and a big thank you to Martin for getting this site started. I am in my 6th semester, and will need 3 credits after this semester. Being an East Coast distance LIS student can be lonely sometimes--I was very lucky that in my first class--Foundations--I connected with a group of other distance students and we still keep in touch. When you are home working on your computer, it makes all the difference just to have another student to be able to connect with about class and teacher issue. I have learned that LIS students are intelligent, fun, and I am always happy to meet new ones. I think possibly one of the most helpful aspects of this site could be our thoughts and opinions on our professors and classes. As I am nearing the end of the program, I hope I can contribute something that might help one of you out there. So, as I find the time I will slowly post my comments about past professors and classes. The first will be about Dr. Dee, because Martin mentioned having a class with her now. Just one thing, I am feeling a bit constrained in what I can be writing. I don't want all my past teachers to start reading my comments!! Do I have a reason to worry. Alas, if we can't be honest with what we will be writing, there will be no point in it. So, thanks again to Martin for getting this started. Hope to learn something from all of you.
